About Me

A Quick Intro

Howdy I’m Quinn a 3D artist who is hoping to work in the wondrous field of video games.

I started 3D modelling after watching a couple of tutorials online and made a nice doughnut. Bitten by the bug I applied to the 3D modelling and visual effects program at Humber Polytechnic in the fall of 2024.

Prior Work

Before studying at Humber I was working in quite a different field. I was training as a refrigeration apprentice with Local 787, the refrigeration union. I was hoping to become an HVAC technician and use my 3 years of trades school at George Brown and my Gas fitting licence to the test.

However I quickly learned that the industry wasn’t for me and I decided to try my hand at a more creative task and the first one that came to mind was video games.

Now you may be thinking, “Wow HVAC technician to 3D artist is quite the jump” and yeah it of kind is. I wanted to do something that I enjoyed and my mind went to my favorite hobby. I have been playing video games for quite some time and never considered i could help make them. So I decided to make it a new focus.

Interests and Hobbies

Now why games? That easy. They are super cool! They let you step into amazing worlds and do and see some amazing and wonderful places people and things. Now I could go on for ever about games but I figured it would be easier just to show you some of my favorites.

Now video games aren’t my only hobby, I have several other nerdy hobbies such has Magic the Gathering, Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons. The only hobby that i have that most wouldn’t consider nerdy is axe throwing.
